It’s been a little while since I’ve done any track give aways, but as summer fast approaches, I think it’s time to get these out to you guys!

It’s an original garage influenced dubstep tune with upbeat rhodes pianos, shuffling drums and a fun bassline. I think everyone did a spectacular job on the remixes. Atma took it in the liquid d+b direction with a smooth jazz influence. Neon Steve took it in a really neat midtempo direction with a spectacular use of effects. Chemikal took it in a dancefloor direction and kept a good energy with a cool bassline treatment. Hope you enjoy the vibes.
Noah D is one of North America’s premier producers. Spanning drum & bass through to dubstep, Noah’s legacy starts with Photek & a fixation on the developing sounds of Jungle & D&B coming from the UK.
Fast forward from those early inspirations to now & Noah D has played many monumental bass music events, from DMZ, FWD & RinseFM to Metalheadz & BBC1 shows. He receives spins from many of the world’s most prominent DJs: Skream, N-Type, Plastician, Deiselboy & Mary Anne Hobbs.
Noah D can claim ownership of one of dubstep’s bonafide anthems: “Seeerious” is still being rinsed by DJs allover, retaining the same impact over a year after it appeared.
On the decks Noah D comes equipped with exclusives from many of USA’s finest producers, international heavyweights & his own originals & VIP mixes. Expect to hear a distinct blend of beats & bass sure to please even the most eclectic & discerning crowd.
Ookpikk (live PA, broken beats – Victoria)
Dan Godlovitch is a one of Victoria’s secret synthetic weapons. Over the past 3 years, he’s slowly developed an inimitable style of live PA performance that fuses techno, dubstep & abstract rhythms into a congealed mass of headnod. Having released a full length ‘Total Home-Job’ last year, Dan has honed his live show – he recently blew heads in Vancouver at Low Indigo. sub|div is amped to have Ookpikk on board to rep the ‘avant’ in avant club.
Opening salvo will come courtesy of the sub|div soundsystem; Frame, Rhythmicon & Eames.
You may know the redheaded dj trio from shows such as VEMF, Skream, Excision, Shackleton, Appleblim, 2562, or RSD.
After several years of driving basslines and helping to establish the force that is now dubstep in Victoria, Gobe is moving away. The Big Reds (Gobe, Rhythmicon, Frame) will finish up this chapter in history with an all out, no holds barred, dancefloor workout @ Lucky Bar.
After a smashing performance to kick off the Easter long weekend @ Hush, the Reds are poised to destroy soundsystems with their low frequency dubplates; expect to hear classic anthems as well as the finest freshies.
Also with the full sub|division Soundsystem, Eames and Longshanks.
April 30th, Ninja Tune’s Canadian dancehall king POIRIER hits Sugar with legendary Jamerican toaster MC Zulu. Starting off 2009 with a bang, Rhythmicon drops a heavy remix of Critical’s stomper, “Hype the Funk”. Taking elements of the original breaks tune, combining them with classic jungle elements, and fusing them together with a bangin’ dubstep framework, this one’s virtually guaranteed to smash the dancefloor. As heard on SHAHcast EP7.
Some feedback so far:
“Totally the vibe I’m in at the moment…BRING JUNGLE BACK!” ~ Skream
“His sound is unique.. with drum sequencing that will make you drool and heavy basslines, this bad boy will be hard to miss this year. The track is heavily influenced by breakbeats as he combines his passion for drum & bass, jungle and breaks with dubstep.” ~ Vancouver Sound Collective
“All the remixes are great in their own way … but I am also feeling the Rhythmicon and Calvertron remixes!” ~Kyle Watson
“Rhythmicon kills it with this one! Like liquid jungle dubstep breaks.” ~ Joe Ave
