Skream in Victoria @ Element [Sept. 22]
September 20, 2009

Brought to you by LSP Productions
Skream has worked to define a movement, with an impressive
and diverse list of releases and shows.
This event is sure to be the biggest dubstep show,
if not the biggest show in Victoria 2009.
Are you ready for the bass?
SKREAM (Tempa, Rinse – Croydon, UK) www.myspace.com/skreamuk
Skream is at the forefront of the growing global movement that is dubstep. Over the last two years, dubstep has reached a critical mass, moving from a tight knit London community of impassioned heads to a worldwide bass movement that is set to crossover.
From his sets on the infamous Rinse FM to his legendary gigs with pal Benga, Skream is renowned for rib-rattling performances, littered with exclusive dubs that make each set unique.
Despite his age of 23, Skream is already responsible for two of dubstep’s bankable anthems; “Midnight Request Line”, an infectious mix of sinister electro arpeggios and deep sub bass, and 2009’s hugest club tune; Skream’s heart stopping Let’s Get Ravey Mix of La Roux’s “In For The Kill”. The track is a true dubstep landmark, combining bass pressure and cavernous rhythms with pop vocals; it has “classic” written all over it.
Through his Skreamizm 12” series, Skream (aka Oliver Jones), has explored a myriad of dubstep’s variations and permutations. From gut-punching bassline wobblers like “Fick” and “Chest Boxing”, to the smooth, dubbed out post-garage of “One For The Heads Who Remember”, Skream is lighting the way for dubstep as an adaptive and groundbreaking musical movement in 2009.
With a brand new album due later this year, you don’t want to miss Skream at Element September 22.
